New Video: 6 tips to improve reading and note-taking

I have about 1000 things that need doing right now, so naturally I took half the day to make a video answering one of the most common questions I get asked by students: “how do I make sure I’m not wasting time and energy when I’m reading and taking notes for my essays?”

There are 6 different tips in here, ranging from reading with a purpose, to strategically selecting your readings, to figuring out how to break down a book and take notes on it.

Hopefully some people will find it helpful! I’m planning on doing more videos like this in future, as well as putting out content that’s more substantive, i.e. explicating concepts and ideas from the social sciences to a broader audience. If you’re interested in that kind of thing, you can subscribe to my YouTube channel.
